seven pages you are talking about peanut butter. Let's talk about real food (I think it is belong to "off topic", but anyway). With my new chef's knife I cut absolutely effortlessly some lamb, marinaded for a day and grilled it for dinner today. It is come out out of this world.

Now yer talkin'! Brings back memories of using my Temperance (made in Japan) to cut some steaks that I cooked over the camp fire on Memorial Day Weekend. Now THAT sounds good! Of course when my sweet tooth kicks in a good ol' PB&J with a glass of milk will definitely do the trick, but I'm craving me some meat right now!bh49 wrote:You guys gona be kidding.

Made in China?...enjoy it while you can, 20 years from now and it won't be so cost effective.
I'll report back in 2028.
Seriously, I believe the O.P.'s heart or (((((troll)))))) is in the right place, unrealistic as it may be, but you best believe, I wouldn't go in to business..., and then create awesome knives... for "knife guys" and gals...to lose money.
I had posted something else, but deleted it , y'know what ,...I'm with the troll, errr OP, American Made is the way to go.
( When it suits me, that is, because as you know, that is an American Made attitude as well)
Hey, I gotta look out fer #1 :D :D

Hmmm, this reaks of a troll's hit and run...no response from the OP and most of his/her other posts seemed like attempts to stir it up with little success.
Oh yeah, there's nothing quite like creamy Jif and raspberry preserves on lightly toasted, soft wheat bread with big glass of ice cold milk!
YUMMYYYYYYY!!

不您是否是美国公司? 为什么没有保留有些工作这里在美国? 我看见您现在有刀子中国制造。 下来拇指。 缺乏质量和缺乏兴趣在支持上为您的国家。

I just received a new knife, a Delica. Upon receiving the knife I looked and saw that the packaging is printed in China now. I am very disappointed in your lack of support for the USA. Why do you not support America and print your packages here? Do you enjoy supporting child labor, environmental destruction and allowing your fellow Americans to lose jobs?
Are you not an American company? Why not keep some jobs here in the US? I see that you are now having knives made in China as well. Thumbs down. Lack of quality and a lack of interest in support for your country.
I wish Sal would read this email. I'd like to let him know how un-American his company has become. And that I will no longer purchase his knives. But I doubt very much that he will ever see this email or care at all. It's all about lining his pockets and taking jobs away from Americans. Shame on you Spyderco and Sal. Farming out work to China? Congrats on helping to slowly erode our country.
Japanese steel is one thing, as it is superior. But you should know how pi$$-poor chinese products are and that they are not a country that USA should support. They are taking away our jobs and our ability to make money here (unless you're Sal and you line your pockets with the money!) They are poisoning our children with lead paint and other poisons on toys! I think it's disgusting that you find supporting these "environmental and child poisoners".
I dare you to send this to Sal. I know you won't do it.
Thanks for your time and your support of the chinese empire of terror!
(sent to Spyderco customer service)
I like the products and those are still made in Japan and USA.
Second, would like to see how many china-made and US-made products you are using, wearing, having equipped your household with..
"Having a dull knife is like having a stupid friend."
Definitely not trying to escalate this, just my two cents... I feel that I should mention that a fair amount of the equipment I am issued is in part or completely manufactured in one third world country or another. My eye protection (paid for and freely given to thousands of soldiers every day in every basic training class), for instance, is made in China.
I won't claim that my profession places me personally beyond suspicion insofar as patriotism is concerned, or any such silly nonsense. But, even the US Government (by skate's definition), doesn't support the country.
I will now step aside and yield the electronic battlefield to those who know more about international economics than myself.
And, far more importantly, peanut butter and honey is quite possibly the best thing ever. :p
