Agreed. If it *needs* to be a knife vs. shirt, then it almost needs to be something off the beaten path like a variation of the Catcherman. H1in full SE would be cherry, IMHO. :D

Really? 4? I had no idea. Is that why there hasn't been many requests for the Native in these threads you suppose?
Most of current Forum members know 2013 Forum Native5. In 2009 Spyderco gave us purple Native with spyder web laser etched FFG blade. Years before that there were blue Native3 and BF Blue G10 Native.

Exactly. We're probably driving Sal up the wall.

Hi guys and gals. This is my first post here. Would anyone else be interested in a Chinook with say S 110V, S 90V or even ZDP 189 ? I sure would like to add an upgraded Chinook made in Golden to my collection if they made them again. A man can dream :)

I like the idea of a mug and a t-shirt. Black mug with a big red Spyderco logo on it and a t-shirt with gbelleh's avatar on the back.

Far and away the best idea I've heard yet! I changed my vote from the pm2 to this. I would rather have a 2015 forum t-shirt and then just buy whichever knives I choose to. I'm dead serious on this. Will take care of the flipping problem too. :)
Ok...t-shirts are a good idea...

So, let's start a poll for the color first...then we can vote on the Font size...the slogan...then the graphics...

Hah well this has taken a fun turn. T-shirt is winning by a landslide, followed by the UKPK with three "votes", Catcherman, and the mug with two each. And of course a bunch with one mention.

I would totally love a Spyderco forum mug. Make that three votes! Make the bottom out of medium ceramic so we can sharpen our knives on it!

For a handle I'd like Moby Dick whale ivory inlaid into titanium scales. Oh and I need it to weigh less than 2 ounces and still be built for hard use, may as well bring the blade in at about 1.21463mm with a full flat grind on one side and a full hollow on the back side, and let's do a tanto hawkbill recurve edge. Let's do a removable lanyard hole too. I'd reeeeally like to keep cost down on this one too so let's ballpark it at or under $100.
Actually there were at least two votes for Evil D's awesome suggestion ;) :D

You seemed to have missed the Roadie, which has three "votes". I might as well add a fourth vote, as I like the idea of a low cost, legal everywhere design. But truth is, I'd buy whatever Sal decides on.

Whoa! You're skipping straight to color!?! What about material, as that might determine available colors? We got: cotton, cotton/poly blend, polyester, flannel, hemp, silk, rayon, chambray, sackcloth, nylon, poplin, voile, batiste, linen, gingham, pique, seersucker, spandex, tri blend, etc. Are we using double stitching, or single? What color of stitching? Slim fit, baseball jersey, v-neck, deep v-neck, boat neck, breast pocket, football jersey, tank top, Henley, polo, mock neck, unisex, women's fit? We all just have to agree on one that we like, right? Should be easy!

Well clearly, I can't count! Oh well, though if any real candidates come out of this I'm sure it will be clear even without a count, though I'll still try to keep up. Feel free to double check my work, I've got a bear of a week ahead of me and I'm already brain dead.

Now that's some good material sir! Your levity is much appreciated and welcomed as it seems we've gotten to taking ourselves too **** serious...again.

Fwiw: I would say the removable lanyard hole should be standard issue on all Spydies, but personally I wouldn't have just thrown that idea out on an open forum where anyone can steal it. Oh well...too late now.
Well alrighty then!

Since the novelty intention of this poll has been clarified as being one not to be taken too ****** seriously......again , I suggest that the thread be renamed the "Paynefully Unrealistic Novelty Knife Suggestion Poll". :p

In that case, in my own contribution towards the levity of the situation, I would second Evil D's suggestion.....which then puts his suggestion for the next Forum knife in the lead.

But I also think that the knife should also come equipped with its own tiny little wrecking ball lanyard. I envision this as some braided gold metallic paracord with a small paladium coated "wrecking ball" swinging from the end of it. There should also be a tiny figurine of Miley Cyrus perched atop the ball that would writhe happily back and forth (as she does in her video) as the lanyard swings cheerfully from the user's wrist as they go about their daily work. :D

Oh yeah, I still want to see a lightsaber, that also doubles as an Espresso machine in any future polling that might develop out of this thread........Oh the humanity
There you go again Manix. You took an awesome idea and then went to the extreme with it by adding a Miley figurine to your great suggestion of a wrecking ball lanyard. I know Miley made "wrecking ball" famous, but nobody straddles one like Hulk Hogan. I insist that the Hulkster be the only figurine associated with a forum knife.

BTW. I was going to attach the Hulk Hogan video, but it may be too much for some people. Oh my eyes!!

Based on previous similar polls, don't we start with size and then eliminate all the other sizes that aren't as popular?

BTW I'll need a large.

I guess Hulk Hogan vs Miley could be yet another poll we could set up in coming up with an accessory lanyard for the next Forum knife. Kind of like a Seth Green "Celebrity Death Match". :D

But if Hogan gets the win he definitely has to come with a pink feathered Boa wrapped around his neck......could also be a convenient handle with which to send the little Hulkster into happy gyrations atop his perch on the little wrecking ball he is straddling.

I'm sure everybody just loves that image! The idea is definitely a winner Remnar and deserves it own polling thread. Anybody want to take the initiative on that one? :p

Yea that feature of the new forum is kind of annoying. I always take care to remove the other nested quotes, but that is prone to error (attributing quotes to the wrong person), and I can see not wanting to do that every single time.

I figured I probably wouldn't buy a T-shirt, then this great idea came along:
OldSarSwmr wrote:I like the idea of a mug and a t-shirt. Black mug with a big red Spyderco logo on it and a t-shirt with gbelleh's avatar on the back.

I will definitely buy one if it has gbelleh's "Universal Knife -- Spyderco" composition on it!! And a pocket to clip a Dragonfly in would be nice to.

Then another great idea surfaced:
PayneTrain wrote: I would totally love a Spyderco forum mug. Make that three votes! Make the bottom out of medium ceramic so we can sharpen our knives on it!

I didn't think I'd buy a mug either -- I've got literally dozens -- until I saw this, but I would definitely jump on one if it had a flat, rough bottom for sharpening!! We could call it a Spyderco Sharpening Mug (or Sh'mug?). Should it be small to fit into backpacks?

But it's totally arbitrary to make these three things mutually exclusive. Why can't we have all three?

We don't have to choose between an RC Cola, a Moonpie, and pants, so why can't we sip our coffee out of our Shmug while wearing our Spyderco-gbelleh T-shirt and carefully slicing our jelly donut into very thin slices with our new Forum Knife???
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

Way too funny! I'm not even sure if you are serious........or completely kidding.
Perhaps this thread is serving some purpose in providing some much needed levity with all the really far out there suggestions .....most of which will never see the light of day......except in our dreams. :D

I STILL want my espresso making Spyderco light sabre and wrecking ball lanyard  :)
