New here - couple of ?'s

Post by Sir cuts a lot »

Hey everybody. I just registered over here but I've been a fan of Spydercos for a long time now.

I was wondering how I'd go about getting a custom engrave done by Spyderco and what my options are limited to as far as what I can get engraved.

Also, I'm aware that the Spyderench is no longer made/hard to find, but I've always wanted one. Aside from ebay, does anyone know of anywhere that has any up for sale.

Thanks

Welcome Sir,

To your question on the Spyderench, apparently co has rereleased the 'rench. On this site go to Product Gallery and Page 2 of Custom Knife Collaborations. Good luck.

When I first started looking for the Spyderench I tried to obtain it like that and I had no luck. After you select the edge config and click "add to cart" you'll get an error message that states "This product is not available at this time." I just tried again in hopes that they did re-release but it looks like they didn't.

Welcome to the Spyderco Forum. They laser engrave the knives so your options are quite wide, I think. (I only have a Dragonfly and a CF Delica engraved by Spyderco; pretty neat work).

Hi Sir,

Sorry, I didn't try to order. I got mine on Ebay for about $130, middle of the price range when they're going. Maybe send a message to Joyce at Spyderco on the Forum and ask what's up.

And of course Ebay. There's a couple there now. Good luck.

Thanks for the welcomes and the tips everybody.
I shot an e mail Joyce's way about the Spyderench, so we'll see if she can help me out. I saw the 2 that are on ebay at the moment and considered bidding, but I'd rather get one through Spyderco or an authorized dealer if possible.
As for the engraving, I've got a SS Native II (favorite Spyderco) on the way to me that I'm thinking about getting something engraved into. Not sure what yet, but I was considering my signature.

Daywalker: I haven't noticed the blade etching on the Dodo in the 03 catalog. Got a link to it?

Shiden-Kaj: Thanks for the compliment.
