In praise of 4mm lock backs

#1

Post by GoldenSpydie »

With a complete (I think?) collection of 4mm beasts, what can I say: wow! What amazingly solid knives. I know that some of you have been waiting on pictures of the Mini Manix, and I finally got to take some today. Enjoy, and feel free to comment and/or add your own thoughts and photos of the 4mm lock backs. :)

Manix C95 (now with custom scales) and Mini Manix C101:

Thanks for looking!

psst...Sal: give us a new 4mm lock back. Please! :spyder:

When I first saw the Lionsteel TM1 I thought, "baby got back lock"!

I would be equally excited to get a Spydie in those dimensions.

That is a very nice set of lock backs, and congrats on the recent Chinook acquisition.

I thought I saw a blurb about thinking of redoing the C95 lockback with the Native 5 refinement.

I keep hoping it wasn't just a dream.

Great ideas! While we're waiting on those, we could gin up interest by having a C95 lockback sprint run or exclusive (or forum knife!)! Maybe something like CTS-XHP with OD or dark green G-10!!

Here's my Mini Manix.

I have a very hard time not buying the ones that pop up for sale now and then.

I really like the feel of these knives. The heft. You know you've got I knife in your hand. The second generation FFG Manix 2 is nice. But it's not a Mini.

Count me in too! I spent a good while tonight playing with my original Manix family members based on this thread. They really are impressive knives, so well balanced in hand and so stout to boot. 3V or 10V?
