I haven't met the Chaparral yet but have heard great things. The sage fits my hand perfectly so I'm not sure if I'd want to go any smaller. The Chaparral seems like a smaller sage and if it's anything like the sage then it's a fantastic knife.

They swing absolutely freely while still having no blade play. There are things I dislike about the Manix* but I absolutely love the smoothness.
