I just clean the rods of my 204 and gave my Military a careful sharpening.Unreal at the edge it took,easally push cuts through news print and will slice through tolit paper (this is something I have had problems getting any knife to do).

S30V,continues to amaze
I'm with you, Jeff. I gave my PE Millie a touchup last night with my 204 as well, and I freaked out with the edge that I was able to obtain with the S30V. I then gave it a couple of strokes on my strop, and D*MN that edge was popping hairs with ease(like a hot knife through butter). <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I've NEVER had a knife with an edge this sharp before.

Much better.The 440V is good but the S30V holds a edge longer and takes a much finer edge than the 440V.I is also a good bit easier to sharpen.

The CPM process produces very homogeneous, high quality steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness compared to steels produced by conventional processes."
Plus the flat blade grind plays a major role in "sharpness"
