I like the aesthetic changes with exception to the right-oriented poster information. I've never seen it that way on other message boards so while not "wrong" I'm certainly biased to the other way.

If it works better for Spyderco, has better security, and all that stuff, thumbs way up. :D

It took me a little while to figure that out too. And I'm sure there are many others who still haven't found their way back yet.

Agreed, especially if you observe the unusually low number of members and guests viewing the forum.

Same here. It seems I can only edit post I just did. Posting on the forum, going to another website and coming back to the forum all from the same tab still grant me the right to edit. For unknown reason and not on every post, I can't edit it. Tried switching tabs, logging out and then back in. Couldn't fix it yet.

I totally did the same thing, thinking "wow, this is taking forever!"

This will take a little getting used to, but I'll manage. I too miss the quick reply box, but most of all I dislike the search function. It defaults to showing posts, and I can't find any preference to change that. Anyone else?

Use Advanced Search at the top right hand corner of the page.

This is probably the biggest issue I have, that is, the Edit button disappearing.

Another issue is that a lot of the HTML Formatting Codes are different!

Right, but that's a whole extra step I'm not used to having to take. Not enjoying it.

Some suggestions on the new look:

Please bring back the easy access to subscribed threads.
Also, please add an option to turn off e-mail notifications or limit how frequently they come through to the e-mail.
Moving subscribe to a thread option to the top of the thread would be appreciated as well.
My final suggestion for the moment would be to provide an option to turn off the animation on the threads for the icon that is beside them.

I think the new look is great, however bringing back some of these key features from the older style thread would be greatly appreciated. I realize the switch is very recent and spyderco is probably discovering some areas for improvement already. As a company that I find very responsive to consumer feedback I would like to add my voice to the crowd.

Thank you for taking the time to listen.

The Edit button is now showing up and I was able to successfully edit a post from the old forum.

Looks OK to me

But I'm like Spyderco- I like form over function. If the new software performs better then that is good enough for me.

I'm must glad to be back- the forum changes and I have to search for a few days to find which of my computers has my password stored on it. I finally found it and was able to log in again.

Hi Kristi, I hope you're reading this thread. There is an image resize issue happening with the forum software.

You guys need to follow the instructions in this thread to add the right code to the Spyderco forum software. Hope this helps, not being able to see full-size images is driving me crazy!!

Radioactive, there's a thread on this topic in the tech support section. Can you post your comment and link in the thread over there too?

Wow, the coolest thing just happened. I was taking my sweet time with a post, as I often do when my dog is rolling all over me begging for a belly rub, and in the mean time someone else posted in the thread. When I finished and hit submit, it stopped me for a second to notify me of a new post and asked if I would like to edit mine in light of it. I didn't, but still! How thoughtful! Thanks phpBB!
