They should grind,drill,cut and polish like a dream (compared to steel),but dang copper and brass gets hot quick on a belt sander or power tools.jabba359 wrote:This Chaparral sounds like a winner to me.

You'll probably spend alot of time cooling the work piece,and/or going "ouch,ouch" from the heat,even with good leather gloves on.The thermal conductivity is far greater than steel,so the heat comes on ultra fast,blink of an eye type of deal.
Hand tools like file's/hacksaws, also work really nice on those metals too.
But I am smiling cause I know if you use power tools,your fingertips will feel like they got sunburn after grinding this stuff for awhile :)

I recall Sal saying it would be bronze scales rather than full-construction. If I had to guess it would probably add a few ounces to the CF model.

Thanks! It's a Keycutter; like a mini-Dogtag without a detent bearing (holds shut with an oring and open via friction). The round one is a midtech copper/ti Coinclaw; similar to the Dogtag but with a smaller blade.Surfingringo wrote:
