I showed her the knife I was carrying (a manix xl s90v) and mentioned that it was the same knife I had used to cut my son's umbilical cord 5 months ago. She gave me a look and said, "So you're the guy." She then gifted my oldest son a glow-in-the-dark delica knife kit.

Then, after a few minutes Sal came out to pilfer the candy dish near the register and she made him come over to meet me as "The guy who cut his kid's umbilical cord with a knife". So I took advantage and got a pic with him too. I'm holding up the Manix XL I used on the cord in the picture.

A little while later, after they had gone back to work, Gail came back out with water bottles and handed water out to all the shoppers in the store. Very Cool experience overall and that was just one of the many positive experiences I've had with Spyderco since I bought my first one a couple years ago.
Finally here's me with my newest knife, a Native s110v Carbon Fiber. It was the last one they had. (Though someone said they should be stocking more soon)

My son built the knife kit as soon as I got it home (mostly by himself). It's a really cool kit and he carries it with him all the time now. I'll post a pic as soon as I can get one uploaded.
As for my new Native, it's size and ergos are excellent and really fill a hole in my collection as I don't have anything in that size range yet. I'm also glad I got to leave the factory with something that was made there and I got my first knife with s110v, so there couldn't have been a better conclusion to that trip.
Thanks Sal and Gail!
