I wonder that too so maybe someone who knows can chime in! Sal? :)

Finally made my decision and ordered one today. Figured this would be my best chance to get a foliage green G-10 knife for awhile. Elmax is pretty close to M390 and 204P, in composition at least, and will be a good EDC for me, a nice mate for my foliage PM1 and tan Manix M4, my current favorite, which, of course, also came from BBS, though I got it used. If the hardness is as high as 60 or more, that'll be an extra bonus, but a little lower would be OK for my purposes.

I hope the fit and finish is up to that of the first run of 204P green PM2's. I noticed that the one pictured at BBS doesn't show much beveling around the G-10, but the pic may not be representative, and it's not a deal breaker anyway, I just find the beveling a bit more comfortable. My 204P, which incidentally cost me $25 more than the Elmax and came from a reputable and well liked dealer, has perfect F&F and has unfortunately wound up as a safe queen (not in a safe but safely in its box); I didn't plan it that way -- it just happened. But I'm planning on making a user out of the FG Elmax.
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

It is slightly funny to me that the bundle price is higher than the price of the two items together. Maybe they are just horribly bad at math. :)

Lil Matriarch: $99.95
Elmax Para: $199.95
Total: $299.90

Exclusive Bundle: $299.95

I assume that people will post when they get their shipping notice. I haven't gotten mine yet.

They must have added the extra 5 cents cause they were doing you a favor by offering both as a package deal! LOL I guess it could be a "handling" charge!

I received my shipping notice last night. Might be here tomorrow, but I'd say by Friday. Looking forward to this one!

I guess they think they're doing people a huge favor that (if?:eek :) they don't charge 2 x $12.80 S&H for the two knives in one box

I ordered mine about 4:30PM their time Monday the 9th, and they expected to get them in on Tue the 10th. I still don't have any shipping notice from PayPal, but it looks like a couple of people do. Also they took down the expected arrival date, so they must have them in. Since they seem to be shipping already, and they say PayPal sends a notice the evening they ship, maybe we'll get one tonight. I'm hopeful :)

(The money came out of my account Tuesday.)

If it had been me doing the math, it would have gone like this:

$100 + $200 - $0.05 = $299.95. That's why I'm not an accountant or an engineer (and you should all be thankful for that). ;)

I got my shipping notice last night, Doug, so maybe yours got hung up in a spam filter or for some reason failed to send? Mine shows expected delivery on the east coast on Thursday. Looks like Priority Mail is down to two days coast to coast.

By the way, I just noticed that it's insured. It will probably need a signature...

Got my shipping notice today :) (Wed) Not bad.. they came in on the 10th, shipped on the 11th, and expected delivery from California to Alabama in two days, on (gulp) Friday the 13th... hope there's no postal malfunction
.
Not too surprising -- priority mail only takes 2 days now to get here from BHQ in Utah.

I received mine about a half hour ago. It's just like I thought it would be, a very familiar model. It feels downright heavy compared to the Lightweight S110V Manix I've been toting around since April. It's funny how we notice a few ounces of weight.

That is the one I compared the value vs knife configuration to money wise! The Manix 2 LW s110v has to be a way better value than the PM2 Elmax. IMO. :)

More than that, possibly the best bang for the buck in the whole industry, considering materials, workmanship, ergonomics, etc. as a whole. :spider:

As far as production knives go I agree 100%. :)

There isn't a folder out there that will touch it performance wise.
