It's probably a better choice for splitting logs...that's for sure, though I still wouldn't try it with mine. I also wouldn't try hacking apart a 2x4 with it unless it was a life and death circumstance, though it has been done before and if I had to rely on any of my Spydercos for something so desperate it would be the Schempp Tuff.
