What should my next Spyderco be?
I already own a Endura 4 FFG with blue scales, Waved Delica, Delica with the saber grind, Dragonfly, PM2, and a Tasmin Salt.
I am thinking about a a VG-10 Stretch or a Super Blue Stretch. I am open to suggestions for anything else as well.

Manix 2, or a Caly 3.5
Manix 2 because the lock and ergonomics are sweet.

If you have more room in your budget, I recommend a Domino. It's a smooth flippin knife and the XHP blade is awesome IMO.
Someone else needs to chime in now, since I'm relatively new to Spyderco knives and there are a ton of models to choose from. :D

Manix 2 lightweight is one of my favorite edc knives. Also native 5 in g10 but they can be very hard to find.

I carry my non waved Delica, Paramilitary 2, and Dragonfly the most. Honestly the size of the Endura is bugging me lately, and the Waved Delica is a novelty that I don't feel like I need anymore.bearfacedkiller wrote:Which of the knives that you currently have do you carry/like the most? That would really help us give suggestions.
The stretch is a great knife and I find it to be similar in size to the para2. I like them both.
I really love my Sage3 and Native5 as well.
How is the action on the sage 3? Ive been real close to buying one but havnt yet. Is it smooth like the manix2? Or stiff?bearfacedkiller wrote:Which of the knives that you currently have do you carry/like the most? That would really help us give suggestions.

I do not own a manix2 but have handled one a little bit. I am fortunate that I am able to go to the SFO and fondle all of the models and I have only handled the manix2 there. The sage3 is every bit as smooth as the manix2 and probably a little smoother. It was the sage3's smoothness that made me bring it home. I wasn't going there to buy the Sage3 but after opening it just a couple of times I had to have it. It has that extension of your hand feel like the Natives.Kylems11 wrote:How is the action on the sage 3? Ive been real close to buying one but havnt yet. Is it smooth like the manix2? Or stiff?

I bought a Sage 3 and promptly sent it back. It just didn't do it for me. I can't really explain it.bearfacedkiller wrote:I do not own a manix2 but have handled one a little bit. I would like a Manix 2 but I am holding out for one with a FFG blade. The light ones feel a bit too light for me.
I have a both versions to me the lighweight is just perfect and the g10 version is very heavy. I thought the same thing at first i thought the LW would be too light and not feel as "heavy duty" but it is perfect in my eyes. Wire pocket clip is awsome too i was iffy about that to at first but its deff my favorite pocket clip. And they sell ffg manix 2s right now everywhere.

I agree on the manix LW. I ended up giving mine away. The Gayle Bradley is an extremely nice knife...in pocket ergos are so-so. I would suggest the military but you already find the endura too big so I guess that's out. Sounds like the stretch might be the ticket for you. I would highly recommend grabbing one of the superblue models if they are still available. The steel is amazing. Takes a ridiculous edge!hawkeye180 wrote:I bought a Sage 3 and promptly sent it back. +1...Def. Taichung factory made should be next up for you ...Sage 1 would introduce you to one of Spyderco's smoothest opening models and a new lock for you (liner lock) simultaneously. Can't go wrong with Chappy or GB either. The Bradley is not stainless though, maybe a concern for some. But M4 is a premium, top-performing steel if non-stainless is not an issue. Enjoy!!!Holland wrote:You need to try something from taiwan so you can experience the quality from that factory. So i recommend either the chaparral or sage or GB
What is truth? Pontius Pilate
If you love the FRN/midlock combo, then I say go for the SB stretch to try a new steel. I'm all about having a variety of ergos and steel, so I'd say go with something that adds more variety. I personally don't own a techno, and it's definitely not my kind of knife, but if you like your Dfly it could be a nice change being a Ti framelock with XHP.
I don't really think it's a novelty.hawkeye180 wrote:I carry my non waved Delica, Paramilitary 2, and Dragonfly the most. Honestly the size of the Endura is bugging me lately, and the Waved Delica is a novelty that I don't feel like I need anymore.
I've seen people carry them in their left pocket. I understand that, cause I have trouble opening knives with my left hand.

I know what you mean, I have a hard time opening knives with my left hand as well, but the Waved Delica actually is addressing a problem that I don't really have. I have no issues taking a Spyderco out of my pocket and then opening it very quickly.Donut wrote:I don't really think it's a novelty.

In any case, the Spyderco Junior is calling to me. I do like the Sage 1 but there is just something about the Carbon Fiber scales that makes me not want to carry it. I bring my knives, camping, hiking and shooting, and the Sage 1 just feels too nice to do that stuff with it.
