P.S. nice user name. I didn't know about it when I picked mine. Hopefully you don't think I stole your idea. :o
Thanks...it's just 1/2" lumber and 1/4" plywood I had laying around. I built it in 3 different stages as my collection grew. Lol about the username...no problem! :)

Here's a quick solution I came up with today. It's a Plano crank bait organizer. It will hold at least eleven knives and they are stackable. It's fairly cheap too. Around $10 for the case and grip liner.

I used to have similar ones, before the chest and pelican cases.
Works great!

I'm guessing it is a BM 300-1 axis flipper. Maybe he's feeding the Spydies. :D

I have a slightly larger one that I bought at Walmart, probably about 9" x 14". It has 4 compartments about 2" x 14". They can be subdivided, mine is subdivided to give 8 compartments 2" x 7" and I put 2 large folders into each one, for a capacity of 16 knives. For thinner knives I think you could put 3 into each compartment, but for thicker knives like the Vallotton that wouldn't work. If I had smaller knives like the Sage I could subdivide each compartment into 1/3ds and probably put 36 knives into the thing. Plus Plano makes carrying cases and such that will hold something like 4 of these boxes- easily carry 144 of your favorite knives with you like a medium-sized tackle box.

Agreed, this thread is extremely useful. Especially for sharing some of the larger collection pictures with the wife. ("See honey, my collection's actually very modest...") :D
