My vote is for the Dragonfly. From the list in your sig, you are missing a small sized Spydie. :)
Time for another :spyder:!

Dragonfly for sure. In ZDP if possible. It's a super useful knife that's very people-friendly.

I'd probably look for the next generation of native if I wanted to pick one up. The XHP is interesting, though.

I like my Dragonfly 2 Orange a lot, the knife cuts much better than its size suggests because of the ergos and overall blade shape plus thin ffg and full distal taper. My black native has done very well as an in-between, all-around EDC. When i have no plans, and see no need for either a smaller OR larger knife, the native gets carried and used.

Edit: The Native is also nearly failproof because of the one piece handle, well-designed backlock (frontlock here), sturdy and stiff blade, and pinned construction. Even the clip requires no real tools to adjust. Choil too, buries right in the palm. :D

Brown native. U can always pick up a zdp dfly later, the native is limited. You'll end up getting them both eventually anyways.
Personally i feel the pingo feels looks and is finished better than the dfly, so thats my smaller knife choice, fwiw.

Everyone needs a dragonfly. It's a classic. Great spyderco ergos in a small package. I gave my dfly to a friend recently and if I replaced it I would probably go h1 serrated, but I know you already have some of that so the green is a good call.

I would place a strong vote for the brown Native. This is one I picked up on a whim and did not think I would like as much as I do. I personally think the native looks much better with the hollow grind and swedge than the FFG Native 5. The brown FRN is also pretty cool (and I normally hate brown) and I love the CTS-XHP steel so far. I have both and carry/love the Native much more.

I seem to be one of the only people who think the dfly is a little awkward to open and just not my thing but I know many love this knife.

Well, it is what it is, right? A tiny little knife that cuts way beyond it's weight class.

My opinion is the also the Dragonfly, it is a staple for a lot of people.
This one just fits better in my hand. It's light weight and nimble, but strong and also meets all the tasks you can throw at it.

My vote is for the dragonfly. Incredible performance for its size. It also fits a size class you do not seem to own with a new steel type as well.

Always grab limited editions, when you can or you will pay much more later.

Get the Native first. XHP is quite enjoyable, takes and keeps a very nice edge :) I'm surprised KC still has them in stock.

The ZDP D'Fly will be around for a while ;)

I agree with the suggestions above. Get the limited ones first

Brown Native XHP
Dragonfly Superblue

then feel free to pick up more of which ever you like the best

Hi Mr swigert!

Considering your current Spydies collection your best bet is the D'Fly VG-10 Foliage Green G10.

Which is in my book the D'Fly best version so far.

I can't speak highly enough of the G-10 Dragonfly-2. There's not a knife, in its size, than can beat it for looks, styling and usage.

I agree with the idea of getting the limited knife first! The frn Native is so light that it doesn't compare to the Sage 1 in this area! :)

I'd buy both, then just get a 2nd job. :)
