I always find that the more I use spyderco knives, the more I appreciate their design. I often don't recognize the genius of their knives until I really put them to work. My suggestion is to use that 0200 as much as you can for the next month. Prep food, break down boxes, slice apples, whittle, clean game...whatever, just use it. Then grab a pm2, or a manix xl, endura or a Millie and use THAT for all the same things for the next month. The truth will be revealed. :)

My point is that there are many designs that I find more visually pleasing than spydercos, but in actual use they are without peer. I have tried using many other brands, but in the end I come back to Sal and company's designs because of how they function.

So give that a shot. Use that zt and see how you really like it compared to some of the spydercos suggested. If you find that after that you still like the zt then carry it and enjoy it! :) .

I was tempted to buy a 0561 but decided to pick up the Cruwear Military instead because it has the same blade length and it's $100 less and 2 oz. lighter than the 0561.

I recently put in a pre-order for the 0562CF. That one looks like it compares favorably to the Southard, which is one of my favorite spydies.

I don't like recurve blades because they are impossible to sharpen, assisted openers or anything that heavy. Thought I wanted a ZT 301 until I saw and handles one

What's not to like in ZT? Weeeellllll there's the flippers, the AO, the recurves and the high weight. Different strokes and all but I'll be sticking to my Spydercos.

Recurves are the biggest turnoff for me. The AO is not a trait a like either.
