Very nice Stuart! No worries about life, it is usually more important than pics of knives ;)

Oh, that's nice. Any idea when us mortals will be able to buy them?

I have no idea about release date, but they were working on the paperwork attached to the Serrata, last time I heard...

I cut through some 1 inch hemp rope after the pics, and apart from been slightly heavier than my own average model weight, the slicin' and dicin' was just the same...

Sal and the Spyder family...thank you for "replicating" my dream... :)

Hi Stuart,

Thanx much for sharing your dream.

Razorsharp,

Getting the edge thin was one of the glitches that added so much time to getting these made to spec. In my opinion, it's a beautiful design and worth the effort. The original and prototypes went back and forth to the maker in Taiwan and to Stuart in New Zealand many times.

The refinement of the design is very mature. Very well thought out and Stuart was a big help in getting us there.

Paperwork was approved today, should be shipping soon.

Beautiful knife Stewart! Love the blade shape! Had a friend of mine make me a knife 10 years ago out of 440C with the same blade shape with nickel silver bolsters, dark Cocobolo slabs, with red spacers. 6 inch blade though! I will be getting your spyderco version! :)

The documentation is about done, I believe, and so it is a little waiting game, I guess?

I might have to wander down to SFO to check one out (just one of the benefits of living in Colorado!). I have a Hossom Dayhiker inbound, which is my first Spydie fixed blade. I'm thinking that a Serrata will be my second!
