I gave my brother a camo/black PM2 and gave my dad a sharpmaker. They were both highly pleased. My brother could not believe how sharp the para 2 was.

I didn't get any spydies, but I did get a Gransfors Bruks splitting axe from my girlfriends' son and that thing is freaking amazing. This axe doesn't just split the logs, it explodes them in two.

That's a great gift!

I've been eyeing the GB splitting hatchet / axe for the last month... Still standing strong, but not sure for how long!

Hey all! I have to gush a little on my wife here. That's right, my beautiful bride surprised the socks off of me with THREE new Spydies for Chirstmas! (She initially told me that I would be getting only "one" new knife for Christmas, which was fine with me :) ;) ). It's going to take me the rest of the year to show her my appreciation!

Hope everyone here had a safe and happy Christmas with family, friends, and loved ones. Take care, and God bless!

Michael

I got my father and I some Spyderco Dragonfly 2's in orange.
We are both still trying to learn to easily and reliably open them (since they are so small), but once they are open it really is a "little big knife".

Thanks Sal & company, for the awesome knives! :)

My wife listened to my request this year, as she always does when it comes to Spyderco things, and she got me a medium grade bench stone. Score! This is my first bench stone, and I have to say that it is bigger than I thought it would be!

I received a few from a forum friend for Christmas and I also gifted my father a C38 in Black FRN PS. He was super delighted. The kiwi 3 I gifted him a year ago was thrashed. Surprisingly the bade and tip were fine, but the slipjoint spring was the point of failure. Is that a warrany covered item?

Nicely done--especially on the Persian. The Red Persian's are getting kind of tough to find nowadays. I too am loving the new Hungarian my wife gave me for Christmas. It's a beauty!

Hey guys,
Just wanted to put up a couple of pics of the gift my wife got me for Christmas.

Image
This is a great design, and everything about the knife is great, but after carrying it for a couple of days, I decided to switch clips.
The low rider clip was causing a hot spot in my palm at the top near the attachment point.
I switched the regular wire clip from my lightweight Manix 2, to the Techno.
That took care of the hot spot, plus the shiney clip adds contrast to the dark stonewashed titanium frame.
The Manix clip is a little longer, which solved another thing that was bugging me.
The edge of the original clip layed right on the cut between the frame and lockbar, and when gripping the handle, the clip would slip over and into the cut with every squeeze. The added length puts that part of the clip up further on the frame, above the lockbar.
I also added a lanyard knot fob, and that along with the knife riding higher in the pocket, makes it much easier to retrieve.
I'm a very lucky man to have a wonderful wife that supports my habit / addiction.

Image

I hope everyone has a Very Happy New Year!
Later,
Don
