I can't put down my new Native
For some reason, I had not purchased or even handled a Native until a few days ago. But then I decided to buy myself one of the Knifecenter exclusive brown Native blades in CTS-XHP....sweet little baby jesus, this thing is amazing. It's smaller than I expected, but I love it. I love the ergos. It's shaped in such a way that it almost forces you to grip the forward choil and get all up close and intimate with the blade. It really becomes an extension of your hand. Amazing.
My only complaint is that it's pinned and not torx screwed. Not a big deal tho, because there's no play at all. The action is a little tight and the Spydie hole is kind of small so I can't do my usual middle finger flick opening, but I don't care...this thing feels so nice in hand, I want to duct tape it to myself.
Also, the XHP steel is legit. For those of you with Dominos, you know what I'm talking about. My blade came a little dull (unusual for Spydies) but I put it on the fine and extra fine stones, then stropped a bit and it's crazy sharp. Whole thing took about 5 minutes. Great steel. Great knife. I was missing out for a long time. For those of you who may be turned off by the funky grind, do yourself a favor and pick up a Native. You won't be disappointed.

I had intended on grabbing one, but I'm not made of money, and my allowance for my knife fetish has been all used up on the Karahawk and custom scales for it. Next time my knife fund is lively again I'll take a gander at one, but it is likely the Native will take back seat to others on my buy list.

I pulled the trigger on one on Saturday night it should be here Christmas Eve. I'm pretty excited it will be the first native I've ever held or used. Xhp gets me a little excited also most of my knives are vg10. My Swick is s30v but I haven't used it yet really I need a sheath

I hear you Batcountry :) I purchased one a couple of weeks ago and there hasn't been a day since it wasn't carried or used. The XHP sharpens and polishes easily, the HG gives a nice thin edge, and the F&F is quite nice also :D . Enjoy :D :D

I see more Native in your future! The Native is one of my top 5 Spydercos! Great knife! Enjoy! :)BatCountry9 wrote:For some reason, I had not purchased or even handled a Native until a few days ago.
