Where to find a Broken tip Delica?

#1

Post by Mister X »

I'm looking for a Gen 1 Delica with a broken tip to try my hand at grinding it down for a Chicago carry knife. I don't really want to try it with an intact one, but figure that if I find one with a broken tip, it would be cheap and there's really nothing to lose and a good knife isn't ruined if I screw it up. I'm thinking there's likely a lot of them out there, but the owners figure no one would probably want them.

Where would be a good place to put a wanting to buy advertisement?

Thanks.

Any of the forums where such ads are allowed, BladeForums would probably be your best bet, but it's still a long shot compared with keeping an eye on eBay.

Ebay or one of the forums for sure. There's someone here on the forum that saved a severely broken Delica by regrinding the blade, I think it only has about an inch of blade left but I recall them saying that they use it quite often (don't remember who).
