Naked Delica revisited, a high HG on an FFG Delica .. a little bit of fun

#1

Post by dbcad »

I was able tp get in early and do some fun tweaks to the original Naked Delica. I saved a copy of the the original assembly and all of it's components into a seperate folder and decided to play :) What would a FFG Delica look like with a high hollow grind?

Modifications to the components was completed pretty quickly, the scales in acrylic  , colored purple  , brass liners  , simple diamond knurled texture, and a high HHG.

An impractical design, but fun and instructive to try virtually :D

Enjoy the pics :)

These pics today are just the result of a burr I felt this morning on my drive to work, nothing more than an enjoyment of HG and to build further on what I have with the original project within the constraints of my work (rendering in the backround), sharing pics is just icing on the cake ;) ......

Any constructive criticism is welcome :)

The grind should be higher. Look at the Dragonfly Salt!

A simple matter of changing a couple of dimensions and maybe upping the radii on the curve of the hollow :) I'll shoot for it Monday morn :)

I love this design. I'd probably snap the tip off immediately, but I don't care. Love the purple accents, too.

I actually surprised nobody has tried to put a Delica together without the scales. You would need shorter screws and studs but it would be pretty cool and really light.

That's easy David :) I'll shoot for that idea too :) Backspacer would have to be between the liners only.........I'll save another copy and pillage bit as I have time :) Thanks for the idea :)
