Endura 4

Hello I am going to buy a Delica and Endura on ebay, but the Endura looks weird, as if a gen 3 blade was put on gen 4 scales. Is this a real spydie or what?

That is most likely a photoshopped job from a seller that is to lazy to take a real picture.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

Yeah, that's an E3 blade on an E4 handle. At least, the top picture is. The bottom one looks like a normal E4 to me though. Notice the jumping and the downward curve leading to the tip.

Looks normal to me. The Blade profile is different on the Black Bladed Delica and Endura 4's compared to the regular Stainless Steel models.

What confuses me though is that this is the same pic on spyderco's website.

I had read on another forum that the blade profile was different on the Black Bladed E4 and D4 because they we're originally intended to be only sold to Police and Military and that's the way they wanted it made, but due to public demand, they we're added to regular catalog and to civilians. But, as they say, don't believe everything you read on the internet. I did find this... http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthre ... a-4-Handle

And a pic from Spydiewiki..

i would highly recommend just buying the knives from a real online dealer. Welcome to the forums!

Spyderco sometimes uses prototypes in their "stock photos", so they don't always accurately portray the production version of the knives they're intended to represent. Not to suggest they're not the better choice but, FWIW, I'd bet 90% of "real online dealers" offering the black bladed combo edge E4 are using the same photo.
