A couple of other things I've been thinking about. I don't know what lock options are available with h1, but since a lockback is closed it is harder to keep clean. Sometimes my pacific salt smells like a dead fish! :) . I was imagining on a titanium handled model, one of the scales could be skeletonized so the knife could be easily sprayed out with a hose or faucet. Makes sense to me in a work knife. Don't know if that could also be done with linered frn or g10. The other feature I was imagining was a line cutter just behind the spydie hole. It would be a nice feature on a salt knife and I think in a pinch it would also work great for hook removal with the knife closed.
Btw, I just saw the announcement of the swick 3. I usually carry a dragonfly salt on a cord around my neck when I'm on the water, but that swick design looks like it would be a great neck knife for fishing/ocean use! (The index finger hole could be very useful when u need your hands without setting the knife down). That would be an interesting offer in h1!

Thanks for bumping this, I have my Burgundy Goddard out to take pictures of it. I believe it meets all of the requirements here in the thread unless we want the 3/4 serrated 1/4 plain edge configuration.
Actually, here is a thread Deacon made with good pictures of it:

The Goddard design would be awesome with H1, and I'd personally like to see it 1/4 PE - 1/4 SE. Lots of blade length packed into the Goddard relative to it's handle length.Donut wrote:Thanks for bumping this, I have my Burgundy Goddard out to take pictures of it. Fascinating design idea. This looks sort of like a Lava blade welded onto the front of a Tasman!w3tnz wrote:I would like to see a model with a PE belly at the front, and a re-curve CE section at the back, an S shape of sorts, I also think a wave is a MUST for this type of knife. Ti bb clip, linerless frn handle, standard salt features.
Very functional. You've got belly for cutting, and a concave serrated section for handling line or fibrous material.
I really don't like Emerson waves, though. It makes the overall width of the blade huge - if you remove the wave, you could move the Spydie Hole down and make the blade a bit trimmer.
I like it!

Spyderco has been showing its "Tusk" prototype for a number of years, which is an evolution of the C06 Yachtsman. It has a sheepsfoot blade and a marlin spike - both locking. Eric said at Blade that they just haven't been able to manufacture it at a reasonable price... Sal indicated in an earlier thread that they couldn't find a maker to make the Marlin spike out of H1...Jazz wrote:How could I forget?! A PE sheep foot blade with a marlin spike. Working with ropes a bit now, I'd love one. I know I'm not alone here.
Absolutely cool knife, though! I want one - especially in H1!

Well, there's already an H1 Dragonfly. And, if they came out with an H1 reverse-s blade for it, I think it'd be in yellow, seeing as they already have an orange handled Dfly.CrazyKorean13 wrote:I seen that folks want a lil matriach H1 knife and also a dragonfly H1 too. How about a dragonfly with a reverse-s blade but in linerless-orange G-10 handles. What you think guys?

True Dfly is already in H1 but it would be a easy build. I think the G-10 will be cool either in yellow or orange. Maybe even in zombie green!Janfrederik wrote:Well, there's already an H1 Dragonfly. Dfly hawkbill or "Really" Lil Matriarch reverse S would be a must have. My Ladybug HB just rocks. It lives on my keys except at the pool or beach where it in the Velcro pocket on the trunks. The only thing missing is a clip! Dragonfly platform is perfect. I personally like hawkbills and SE only on smaller blades and think this would be a big seller. If Golden chooses the reverse S over a hawkbill, I would love the name "Lil' Bastard"...but my guess is the footprints will be shinier
This still is not the new stouter H1 we were previously discussing though, right?

Good Lord no!! It could be, as you mentioned, its little bastard son though!twinboysdad wrote:Dfly hawkbill or "Really" Lil Matriarch reverse S would be a must have. My Ladybug HB just rocks.
