October Giveaway - YeeHaw

#1

Post by gaj999 »

I won the September GAW, thanks w3tnz, and I'm passing things forward. The theme this month is Mule Teams, and Halloween, of course. Up for grabs is a MT04, a ZDP-189 Mule with a Dymondwood and brass handle and a leather pouch sheath, both made my me. A little sweat equity going out the door. To enter, post a photo of one of your Spydercos in costume, as part of a costume, or along a Halloween theme. I'll use a random number generator to choose a winner on October 27. I'm choosing that fairly late date because I'll be traveling mid month. The good news is that everyone has plenty of time to enter, so let's see some nice photos.

I'm giving this one away because I'm not using it enough. One of my non-stainless Mules always seems to go with me when I hike. I've been using it as a craft knife, of all things. It might as well go to someone who would enjoy it more than I.

The ZDP Mule is the rarest Mule of all. They were recalled because they were run too hard in heat treat and some were breaking. I tossed this one(flat) onto the garage floor a few times before putting on the handle and I've used it to baton firewood into kindling and it didn't break, so I must have gotten one on the soft side. If you'd rather have something else, I'll substitute a MT05, the 9Cr18Mo Mule with a cord wrapped handle and a kydex neck rig, also made by yours truly.

Good luck all.

Gordon

Very cool contest! Looks like I need to go find a painting of a ship so my Captain can finally live up to it's name! Although I guess I could get by with an Airplane. Or maybe a king's court! Or the open prairie. This should be a fun contest!

EDIT: Posting my images now.

First up, we have the maiden voyage of the SS Plop. Captained by a Captain, we shall see how it fares as soon as it leaves the drydock!

The anticipation is killing me!

Oh no!! As it turns out, paper is not a good material for boats :(

Well hopefully our next show can make us forget all about what happened.

What n act ladies and gentlemen, I hope you have all enjoyed this airshow. Even though the performer was only a CoPilot, he performed admirably and can expect a promotion soon!

Well, crap. Describe a costume, then. I'm trying to get people to be creative and have fun, not exclude anyone.

Easiest for me if you edit your original post, that way there are fewer posts, like this one, that need to be disqualified. I'm only going to allow one post per person to be in the lottery.

I'd say so. I like the orange/black/green thing with the pink Byrd eye that you've got going. Nice.

Like I said before, the goal is to have fun. I'm not looking to exclude anyone, so by all means, everyone, enter somehow. The more the merrier.
