Well, they're not the same 2 knives, they're equals as they've been replaced. Plus I have given a few away to co-workers (military and LE) that really needed a great everyday knife in their pockets. And my knives get used, a lot, and I have yet to need anything else.
When I worked at NORAD, the rule was 3 inch blades maximum, so I carried 2 Delicas.
I've broken the plastic clips off every one (like I said, they get used), but once the steel clips were standard, I haven't broken 1 yet. Bent a few, but they can easily be removed and straightened or replaced.
I did break the tip on an Endura, yeah, I shouldn't have been using it pry and it also had a broken plastic clip. I sent it back to the factory, while stationed at Osan Air Base in South Korea, to possibly have the blade tip cut shorter and back to a point. Much to my surprise, I received an entire new Endura, that gesture made me a life-long satisfied customer.
I've had custom knives but they rarely end up in my pocket as to me they're not everyday knives.
