IIRC the Jess Horn wasn't made in ATS-55.

back in the old country particulary in austria, there actually is no law against carrying knives (yet) but you normally don't see people with knives clipped to their pockets! i've never seen anybody with a spydie yet just crkt boker and very few with more expensive custom folders!
most of my close friends carry knives and actually everyone of them prefers spydies! (i can't imagine who's responsible for that :D )
but when i was in the states i went with my girlfriend to OC to visit an old friend of her and we grilled some burgers, i was prepping food with my para2 and he said he knows this hole and told me to wait a sec, he came back with a delica stainless! he told me, that he spent his first self earned money to get himself this spyderco!
we're still in contact and he recently picked up a c81 as well :D

my cousin that I rarely see (saw him when i was 2,3,10 and 13 each time for about a week or so.) Came for a visit around Christmas last year (he's about 21-22yrs old) and I was sitting at the table with him,his wife and my grandparents. I was messin around with my dragonfly2 and his wife said "hey Joshie, dont you have one of those spyder knives??" So he replies "Oh yeah!!!" And in a blink of an eye he had gotten out and deployed his Endura4 Serrated. He is training to be a fireman and he says almost everyone carries an Endura or Delica serrated. anyway I was sooo excited to see a family member carry a Spyderco, he is the only one of my family that carries a spydie.

Lol, all my friends clip Spydies because I have to give one away about once every month or the wife will realize how big the hoard is getting. ;)

Was at a flea market/gun show today and I'm looking at some knives and the guy next to me pulls out a green zdp Endura to show the dealer, I promptly pulled out my grey VG10 Endura and toasted him. Thats the first time thats ever happened, very cool.

It's so disappointing though when you say "Hey, nice Spydie!" and they just look at you weird because to them it's "just a knife".

It was kind of funny, I asked him if he had any others and he said yes, didn't mention models, just said in his line of work (electrician) that the blade was a little on the thin side for what he does, but did praise the "slicy-ness" of spyderco's. Overall it was a positive and fun interaction that I have never had before.
