Yeah? Why is that so hard to believe? When you get the impression that a knife is going to be a certain size and it comes in smaller than you had hoped, then you get let down. I'm not saying the knife sucks, it's just not what I expected. What's wrong with that?

Evil D wrote:I gotta say, I'm pretty let down with this knife. Don't get me wrong, it's a sweet knife, I just really expected more blade length from the prototype pics that went around. I'll have to wait and hopefully handle one in person someday before I have a final opinion. It does look bigger than I thought it was going to end up being, it's almost Para 2 sized. Maybe it's just the height of the blade that makes it look so stubby.
I am waiting for mine to come in, I'm sure its an amazing knife but I can't help but wonder if they could have made the blade a little less tall so it doesn't take up unnecessary pocket room. However it has two cool ways to open it.... thumb hole & flipper.

We will see what I think when it arrives tuesday!
Spyderco please make a wire clip version of the Manbug/Ladybug!

^ Oops einstein, how did that happen? Mine hasn't bit me yet... :) though I played with it during most of a 45 minute drive yesterday.

I have some other flippers - Southard, ZT 0350, etc but this is the only one that has a choil that allows placement of the finger in *front* of the "flipper nub" when open, and I *really* am liking that feature. Just how my fingers tend to fall I guess, and on my other flippers I have to make a conscious effort to place my finger *behind* the nub when open.

Sure the steel isn't CTS-204P or S110 etc., but I do really like CTS-XHP. I have a lot of nice Spydies in competition for pocket time, but this one is definitely going in the mix (I need more pockets! :D ).

"Sage on steroids" -- perfect description.

I thought the Sage 2 was a bargain but the Domino is at another level altogether, at not a lot higher street price.

The Domino is smooooth. F&f is excellent. A top-drawer Spydie and one of the nicest production models I have owned.

This isn't my favorite Spydie clip, but it looks and works just fine.

Congratulations, Eric and the rest of the Spyderco team!

For anyone thinking about getting it because it might take up too much pocket room. I carried it last night and had zero issues.... It carries very well and disappears in the pocket :)

The picture beside the Yojimbo makes my mind up that I need one, the question is when can I work it into the purchase list.

:o Oh, sorry found pics of what I wanted in #7.(Manix/Domino)
They appear the same width at the choil. Guess I won't be getting this one. :( The Brad Southard is a super fine knife though, I love it.

This does not feel like the manix in hand. I compared the two yesterday

Mine might actually be 60%, not sure what I'm looking at with the steel insert honestly :p

I really love the jimping on this knife. I've started liking finer jimping on my knives since they're easier on my thumb!!

The good news is, with the lock insert, the lock is completely rebuildable assuming you can make a new lock insert.

Cutleryshoppe finally has them up for "pre-order." Lowest price of every site so far.

Found one in stock for under $185 shipped (now showing out of stock) and couldn't resist anymore. The Domino looks like the perfect size for EDC. Can't wait to try it out!

Noticed a little rattling noise if I shake the knife
Lanyard tube perhaps? Seems to go away when I hold it down

Mine will be here tomorrow sometime and after reading some of the posts here I am really looking forward to getting it. A few of you seemed a little disappointed in the knife but over all I think it should be a nice knife, I just hope the lock up is on the early side, its just the way I like them but really has no affect of the lock up unless its really late then I might be more concerned since its a new knife, but that's why I like the insert its a easy fix for them.
