Some of these guys are so busy that they can't even reply to PMs and emails on a timely basis. In his youtube vids, Tuffthumbz has mentioned several times that calling him is the best way to get his attention.
EDC Everything! Our knives are TOOLS, not 'Objects d'art'. A 'Safe Queen' is an implied insult to the designer/manufacturer.

Yeah tuffthumbz ive emailed, only seen his mod, havent watched so many vids. So couldnt know, sorry Tuff.
I maybe could mod them myself, but Then again, it feels pretty unnecassary to buy a rocktumbler, acid and all that stuff i need to get that looking want. When i want to mod 2 or 3 knives. But maybe im cheap? :/
Just bought a Curtiss F3 so budget's pretty tight.

What exactly do you want done? Sounds like you wanna stone wash your blades, which honestly shouldn't cost you more than $20 in materials which is mostly going to be the price of a bottle of ferric chloride from Radio Shack. Take it apart, soak it in the acid for a few minutes, then put the blade in an old peanut butter jar with some gravel, put the lid on and shake the crap out of it. There's your stone washed blade. I don't know if I'd call you cheap because you'd actually be spending more money paying someone to do that than you will doing it yourself. You definitely don't need a rock tumbler.

Hey guys,
Just for the record, I'm pretty sure Tuffthumbz has put a hold on pimping knives for now.
He's become a full time knifemaker, putting out his Tanic framelocks. Awesome looking folder, BTW.
Later,
Don

I have a Military at Bower Bladeworks right now. He is prompt with email responses and friendly. His work looks great and I am looking forward to seeing what he can do. I will certainly start a thread when the knife returns. If you are just looking for acid bath & stonewashing, I would take David's suggestion & do it yourself. Otherwise you could be waiting 2 months or more to get your modified knife back.

I didn't ask him about his grinding. I know you can send your yojimbo to Ban Tang for your FFG modification. I can pm you his contact info if you don't have it from our previous PM.

I've probably deleted it, my inbox has been full a few times since then. My last regrind experience wasn't so great, so I'm only interested if they can do a "Krein/Southard" quality regrind that looks factory done. On top of that there's some grinding that needs fixed on it now so it needs a lot of work.

The work I have seen done by Ban is exceptional. His claim to fame is the wicked convex grinds he puts on knives but I have no doubt he could to a FFG for you. Do a search on blade forums and you will get an idea of his skill level.
