I remember looking at old katana construction methods, some had similar designs i believe.
I can see myself now teleported back to feudal japan, facing off with Musashi with my trusty spydeco superblue/420j2 wakizashi and katana. :) (musashi chops off both my arms before i can blink, then walks off with my superblues cause he likes the look of the spyderholes)
ok i have gone to far...
Haha. :)

Oh no! I wanted to buy an extra and have someone flat grind the side so that super blue was exposed down the entire side. Well, that and have a chisel ground spyderco. =\

The SB Ladybug and Dragonfly are must-haves for me. Also interested in adding the SB Endura and Stretch to the collection.
Who am I kidding, I'm getting them all!
Now I just need to raise some more money. Anybody in the market for a soul?

That's still an awesome idea. Grind a super thin SB Endura for the kitchen.

So how long till we get a SB conversation going that makes me feel ridiculous and dullminded.
And I mean that in a nice way. I learn so much but walk away feeling like I know little.

Are you all looking at this stainless covering over SB as a positive on the Endura/Delica? I personally like the look of the SB patina.

I think they're going to look good with 1/4" of patina near the edge. No one else seems to think so.

I think so too. Imagine how they could look with a mirror polish on the cladding and a nice patina on the edge! I am so hyped.

I think that in the back of my mind, that's the reason that a laminated blade doesn't call to me.

Can´t wait to get the longer bladed models to see which kind of edge SB and my sharpening skills can produce.

The 420J stainless on the outside of the clad scratches awfully easy. I love the SB cutting edge and appreciate the benefits of cladding, but really don't have much use for 420J... Having said that, I'll be buying the Delica, Stretch, and Dfly!

Is it going to be 420J2 for sure? Why not something a bit harder on the outside? I'm not fond of how that stuff scratches.
- best wishes, Jazz.
