It would have if the system could process orders that fast.

Gadzooks, it took a long time to read this thread with more and more posts coming every second :) I never even considered that there might be something wrong with my state or zip code--my experience is that computer error messages rarely mention the real problem--I just assumed it was server overload.

I just kept hitting the back button and the next step button, admittedly with bated breath and gritted teeth, and finally the mule went through after about 13 minutes. I was foolishly thinking that it would work quicker because there would be less people trying for it (illogical, since it would be the combined effect of both on the server). Then the Native went through a couple of minutes later. I didn't realize quite how lucky I was until after reading this whole thread and seeing that some people tried for over an hour :D

Apparently the fact that I was using the back button instead of the refresh button saved my data and I didn't have to reenter it or have the problem of getting more or less than I intended in the cart (just got one of each with free S&H). Also this was quicker and allowed me to get in more tries in less time.

My hat is off to the people at Golden. With all the work it must take to make these blades, develop the techniques for the new G-10 pattern, routine overhead expenses, I just don't see how they could make any money off a limited run of a unique knife like this. Not to mention what they have to put up with from us forum members in the mean time :p

I had no choice, and had to give up after 25 minutes. I had a Dr. apointment that took awhile.
Barely missed them when I got back.

Thats OK though. Stuff happens. Spyderco will put out more cool stuff I'll want.

Yes, this would be a nice photo for the back of the 2014 Calendar since we are pretty sure the Forum knife will be on the cover!

Wow, I figured they would need a day at least to take a breath and get some boxed up and ready to roll! That's great!

I too thought they would have sold out in minutes based on all the hype with the green and steel! I actually figured, I wouldnt be able to get one but I was wrong! :D

This is my very first Native and Mule so I hope I like them as much as my PM2 or it will be sold! I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will like them! :D

Well, I got my order processed after 50 minutes of getting the zip code error... I'm on vacation and had to use my phone, which made it a little more thrilling... I also thought it was going to be sold out a lot faster.

I just got my tracking number too. I got my order in within the first 5 minutes. Whatever problems the website was having, Spyderco's shipping department seems to be on the ball!

Well, I missesd this one. Was actually on an airplane when it went on sale, and by the time I landed and had a moment to check, it was gone. I will still get the mule. Enjoy that knife guys, it looks to be a pretty cool one.
