I hear ya. ;) I am very interested in the answer to my question in #196, if anyone knows...as a matter of curiosity, not because I've place or am planning to place a pre-order on this one.

I would say that you would NOT get a refund.

Nah, if they oversell they have to refund. They don't have much of a choice between consumer protection laws, paypal policies, and bank chargebacks... No refunds relates to not being able to cancel once you preorder, and no returns or exchanges.

If I bought this and they actually tried to pull that no knife no refund move, one call to the bank is all it takes. Doubt that's what they meant though but some may perceive it that way since they have more rules than Seinfeld's soup Nazi. Sentence right after says "please rest assured we will not oversell". Maybe they should reword that as it can be misconstrued as just another shady move by them.

I am inclined to read that the way FCM415 is reading that, and agree with his take on that. I had missed :( the "we will not oversell" sentence, which I think makes it pretty clear.

I'm pretty sure that once they post a disclaimer like that, the laws simply don't apply. You agree to the terms when you plunk your money down, and I doubt even OJ Simpson's legal team could get you your money back.

They're in California, not Kentucky. It's a different world. :D  :(

I'm pretty sure OJ's lawyers could get my $300 back. After all, "if the knife doesn't show, give back the dough!"

A call or two to the California AG's office and whatever agency is in charge of consumer protection would get someone's attention under the circumstances we're talking about...

Pretty much this. The non-refundable deposit, I would imagine, is in regards to a person who might change his/her mind about the purchase of the knife.

I've bought 4 knives from them, 2 Blue Para 2s, an M4 Manix, and a ZDP-189 Lum. Never had any issues with the knives or them. Yes, the military is in the high side and you have to pay up front, I had to pay up front for my Medford and that was a tad bit more. Where else are you going to get a blue military with S90V? Would I like it cheaper? Heck yeah, would I like it better if Knifeworks had it? You betcha, nothing I can do about it now.

Philo Beddoe wrote:Just messing around I went over to the BBS site and tried to order 10,00:D S90V Millies and it automatically bumped the number down to 494 available..looks like their are quite a few left up for preorder.

Still on the fence about the Blue Millie..

The CruWear Millie is a must..I will buy 2 somewhere or another..1 to use and one as a back up.
Been a week and 465 now showing available..somebody is buying them.

Haven't made up my mind on the Blue Millie yet..one thing I don't like is that BBS will probably order another run as soon as these sell out, devaluing the first run.

Got to get a 110v forum knife first..

That's the rub when you buy knives for speculation. Myself, if I buy a knife, I don't mind however many runs there will be because I buy them to use and additional runs won't diminish the specs and materials of the one I have.

Oh, and aren't you doing a bit of whining yourself too? ;)

Yeah... it would really suck if BBS stuck it to the speculators/flippers on both ends, wouldn't it?

Whining? No just My Opinion.

Who said anything about speculation or did you ASSUME thats what I was referring too.

Do you have a Silver Spoon? That's great if you are so set in life that you will never need to worry about resell value but their are a lot of people(me included)that do need to think about future priorities changing due to disease/sickness/family issues etc.

Thats the reason the Cruwear Millie is so tempting because at the price they will sell for and the fact their wont be any more runs made I feel very confident I can at least get my money back out of it if i need to sell a few years down the road.

The Blue Mille? Not so sure several runs later..
