#1

Post by ohcyclist »

This may be a foolish question but when is the next mule team likely to be released, and is it known what the steel will be?

After the K390 that is set to come out soon? I don't know.

I would expect to see MT14P next (CTS-204P) then maybe MT17P in the K390.

He said they were being processed, but didn't say what stage of processing or how long it will take. Here's the quote:
sal wrote:The mule is being processed now. I'll know more when it's closer to being finished. Each steel is different with a different "personality" as far as working the material. There is usually a learning curve and we don't know what we don't know.

Keep in mind - part of the reason for the existence of the Mule Team is so that Sal's manufacturing guys can have some "grinder time" with these new steels. They need to figure out each steel's "personality" to determine if it will be viable as a production steel.

Fortunately, we get to take advantage of the fruit of their labor!

Do the Mules get announced on this forum?

What's the best way to get one? Just keep checking this forum for an announcement and then buy via web site direct from Spyderco?

I would buy one in this steel or even Cowry-Y if the price is semi reasonable.
