How long have these been out of production and is there anyone who knows of one kicking around somewhere?

They come up on the bladeforums exchange every so often. I'd keep an eye out there and maybe ebay

Countryknives usually has many discontinued items. They have the CF Stretch, but be prepared to pay for it!

Even their current production items are very high. Is that MSRP? IDK how they sell anything.

Great knife, keep your eyes open and you should be able to get one in your possession for a reasonable price. Mine was a wonderful birthday present from a family member.
