I still feel like a newbie at times, especially when people start talking about stropping with diamond micron paste, the differences of carbide forming elements at varying heat treats, and other such things. I'm still wondering when I won't be a newbie as well. :D

Any reason why it takes many attempts to get a single message posted? Each time it spins its wheels for a long time and I get an error message either saying the page can not be displayed or one saying I can only post one message every 30 seconds and I wait the allotted time and the same thing happens. Eventually it posts or I finally give up. Same thing has happened in the past when I've tried to post.

Maybe you're double clicking, not sure. The price will be around $150 I think and it
will be posted in the main forum at the top in what is called a stickied thread which
basically means that it will always be at the top. It could be any day or month now,
or not.

Probably an IP timing issue. I don't have it here but I have on other sites. As long as your end is all up to date, patched etc there's really not much else you can do about it. What kind of Internet access do you have? Is this the only site you have issues with?

Failing all else, I'd ask Al Gore ;)

I don't double click. It only happens on this forum/site. I have DSL. I normally post in the wee hours and wonder if the Spyderco server is off line during part of the night?

It goes 24/7, since there are people all over the world that access it.
I know that it limits a search to every 30 seconds, and it might for posts
as well, but not sure what it is doing to you.

For the record, and to prevent those with a need to feel abused and share those feelings with others from deciding the price has been jacked, Kristi's initial announcement (which can be found here) stated that the MSRP of the 2013 Forum Native will be $249.95 and that it will be offered at a 40% discount. By my calculations, that works out to $149.97, or thereabouts. That announcement also gives the specs, shipping costs, and information on when/how the "go live" date will be announced.

Good catch, Paul. I was shooting from memory, and we've all just seen how reliable that is ;)

I like hard and crunchy apples, which contain a lot of iron. :)
