I've met Jeff. I've bought knives from him and been to his actual "store" here in Idaho. 100% legit.

Buck Knives I Like wrote:I believe I have seen this website mentioned around a few times, I put the exact link / fonder name to avoid confusion because I found out a few other sites have similar names. I think the prices at the cutleryshoppe are up there with the best deals, However I never actually bought from this place before and am hesitant to do so because I am always afraid of buying fake knives etc. If anyone has any good or bad input about this store I'd appreciate it, I just want to get some peace of mind before purchasing from any store / website. Edit: And of course I'm looking to buy a Spyderco from them.
Edit#2: Yes he seems to have a fine reputation everywhere, I just decided to send Spyderco an email after the post and pretty much got an instant response.

From Spyderco " Yes the Cutlery Shoppe is one of our dealers. We do not have a MAP pricing policy (Minimum advertised price) If you have found a good deal through Cutlery Shoppe, they are a reputable dealer. "

If you want to leave a comment with your experience with this dealer feel free but this will be for the forum not for myself, I got all the information I need. I'd also like to add to try and make this thread a little bit less of a waste of data that if you have been searching for a trustworthy good priced source such as myself don't hesitate to try this site out. Thanks again.

Real Edit#2 I clicked edit but I guess it somehow replied.

I received a knife ordered off that website today, one of the discontinued kind-of-grail :spyder: knives.
Great service, good price and a 2013 Spyderco catalog plus two Tootsie Pops came with it.

Someone hit my sweet spot for great knives and sweets, I guess ...

Jeff is one of the best known dealers on the web. Also, the official recommended supplier for the Nutnfancy Project (which is the "second kind of cool" :p ).

I don't know if they ship locking knives to New York. Honestly you may have to hunt around for that aspect regardless of price.

95% of the Spyderco knives that I've purchased over the past two years have been from Jeff at Cutlery Shoppe, so fear not, he's a gentleman and as friendly as they come.

Order away!

Just bought a Navaja from the guy. He's wonderfully nice, agreed to ship me anything as long as it was legal. and we had a nice talk of CPM-S30V vs. CTS-XHP. The guy is good for anything, and I've never dealt with a nicer guy. He was also more than happy to ship to NY, which is a remarkable and rare feature these days.

Cutlery Shoppe is great. My first from Jeff order didn't go through the first or second time I tried, so he called me (after closing hours) to complete my order*.

I've been ordering from Jeff for quite some time. A few times, I've ordered on a Friday (payday) and received the knife in the mail on Monday. That is exceptional service in my opinion.

I remember one time, I sent an email through the site to Jeff at 9pm on a Saturday night to ask if he knew when he would have a particular model back in stock. Five minutes later, I received a reply stating that the model I wanted was in stock but hadn't been put up on the site yet. He got my model put on the site right then for me so I could place my order. I'll re-iterate that this all happened at 9pm on a Saturday night. That's not exceptional service, that is one-of-a-kind service.
