Got my manix 2!!

#1

Post by Kev83 »

So I just got my manix2 dlc version and I have never been more impressed by a knife I've purchased without actually handling it first. The f&f is AMAZING!! Before buying it I watched countless video reviews and overviews of it but there is nothing like the feeling of it in hand. It's not the lightest knife by any means but I love the nice hefty feel of it. It's actually kind of overshadowing my PM2 which I've edc'd for the past month or so, don't get me wrong the pm2 is an amazing knife and still one of my faves but this manix2 has got me in a trance! Anyway, just thought I'd share my thoughts. By the way, does anyone know if the black paint on the clip of this model holds up better than say the one on a tenacious or endura? I have both of those knives and the paint is well worn on the tenacious and nothing but a memory on the endura.

Congrats Kev, I have had a Manix 2 for quite a while and love it.
It feels natural in the hands, like it was made special for you. It is
as solid as a tank too. No it isn't light, but that's what I like about
it. You feel like you could use it for anything, and I think that you
could.

I am not sure about the clip paint. I actually like when a clip gets
wore down, a sign that it has been used, or at least carried.

Congrats! :) Hope it treats you well!

Not sure on the DLC; I don't own any of them. Should be pretty darn tough (tougher than the clip coating).

Manix 2 S30V

Post by paychekk »

I have wanted a manix 2 s30v for a long time. Outdoor Warehouse just opened in our area and I seen this knife in stock. After handling the manix 2 for a couple of minutes I knew I just had to walk out with it. I also have a Para 2 that has been my #1 EDC. The manix will be rotated with the para 2 for sure. The manix just feels so good in your hand. Now I will have to make a lanyard for it! I post a pic when I am done.

I agree great ergos! You're in the same boat as me as far as edc rotation. Two awesome, different knives!

Lol here's my first attempt.. Did it work? That's my typical EDCs. Newly acquired Manix 2, G shock 2310fb and black 550 paracord bracelet. Can you tell black is my favorite color?
