Ha! I have 18 para2s and had tips break on 4 of them (2xS30V,20cp,M390), about 1/2-1mm at most. I only know of only one instance why it broke the rest no idea how it happened. They are pretty fragile compared to my other spydies. Thank God for the edge pro.

He was saying that he charged up the battery on one of his lights, then the next time he went to use it it seemed like the battery was dead. He thought that something was wrong with the battery. After he recharged the battery, he found out from his girlfriend that she and their daughter were looking for something in the garage with the light and didn't tell him that they drained the battery.
So are you saying that the flashlight guys girlfriend and her daughter used his knife and broke the tip.

(Donut, I actually think that you are on to something)

My S30V Para 2 was used and carried almost exclusively for about a year and haven't had any tip issues. My XHP Para 2 also hasn't had any issues. But then again, I don't pry with my knives or stab the tip into hard materials.

Tips don't spontaneously explode.

If it was just the one you carry I would say you did it without realizing it, etc. But since the orange one is broken too and (by your account) you never use/carry it... then someone else must have access to/be playing with/using your knives and is wreaking havoc on your Para2 tips when you're not around. Bummer... :(
Apparently, arachnophobia is not a condition from which I suffer.... :spyder:
