Suggestions for Small EDC???

That's great to know. Thought about that one a lot - just didn't know how much it could handle and how difficult it would be for me to sharpen.

If the only criterion is a sub 3" blade, then I'd suggest the CF Chaparral. Good looking, thin, compact, highly ergonmic, and it slices like a demon.

If you're looking for a key chain/ring knife, then the Jester is excellent. I've had one of the burgundy micarta ones on my key ring for almost ten years.

If you're looking for a watch/vest pocket knife, then the Mouse or Cricket would work, but I'd suggest the Balance as it's easier to find than the Mouse and both more ergonomic and easier to sharpen than the Cricket.

Definitely!

The Jester was my favorite until I got a Balance.

I have heard mixed reviews about the balance - mainly that it is too small for many people - so it's good to hear that it's a knife people like. The decision is getting more difficult now.

Left to right - Spin - Cricket - Balance - Mouse - Kiwi

I know the Cricket has its fans but, to me, the Balance offers a much better, more natural, grip. Of course, of the lot, the Kiwi is my personal favorite and daily companion.

FWIW, while the Spin is a neat little knife, I hesitate to recommend it only because it's out of production and a fair percentage of the ones being sold on eBay nowadays are low quality, but relatively hard to spot, fakes.

GB Air would be my top pick. Kiwi is number two, but if you let me cheat by a tenth of an inch or so, the Des Horn and the Centofante 3 and 4 would beat out the Kiwi.

I'd have to agree with The Deacon... Chappy is a GREAT lil knife!

If discontinued ones are an option I have to throw in the CF ZDP Walker. A wonderful little thin classy blade I just don`t carry because I fear corrosion.
An other option (for me) is the Robin G10. Heavy, rigid and its handle fits me better than a lot of other knives.
The Dragonfly Salt currently is my favorite for small EDC blade as I had rust spots on S30V, VG10 and 8Cr13MoV. Too bad its handle feels too small to use it comfortably.
Unbeatable and therefor always on my keys is the Ladybug Hawkbill Salt. Always in my pocket and operates greatwith a bunch of keys attached to it.

I'd thought so too. But I'm 6'6" with largish

hands and it works just fine for me.
