I live in Los Angeles California, where everything is super dry in the hills.

I also do a lot of trail-building in my local area. Endura 4 CE is pretty nice for really tearing through brush.

During the summer I head up to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and sometimes Yosemite. You can see Half Dome through the Spydiehole.

Another part of Yosemite, along the glacial cut slope of Glen Aulen.

Last summer I also did some Island Backpacking. My Paramilitary 2 actually rusted in the salt air, but my Pacific Salt stayed fine.

Another time I was on an island, and I had to bushwhack for twenty miles. I was drenched in sweat at the time, and yet my Pacific Salt was just fine, while my other knife in 154CM had gotten rusty on the edge.

Every once in a while I ACTUALLY USE my knives...

....and very rarely abuse them.

Yeah so that's basically who I am. I take a lot of these photos because I know you guys, and the SharpThings guys love seeing them (or hate me for what I did to that caly). I've don't own any "grail knives" because I really like to use my knives a lot. When I’m out in the backcountry, my knife isn’t just a tool, it becomes part of me. Without having a blade in my pocket, I feel almost lost or naked. This all pretty much sums up my life in the knife world.
