Herbst Titanium, thank you Sal, thank you Spyderco

Last week I had put in a thread a couple of questions about my newly purchased Herbst.
Sal replied then "... I still have some early German Peter Herbst pieces. Not functional (bad detent and lock). email your address to me…"
Since then I had not thought of anything special, but this morning the UPS-man knocked on my door and handed me a packet from Golden, Colorado.
And in this packet there was actually a C53TI Herbst Titanium!

And what a wonderful knife this is, a modern masterpiece.
It is so sad that Böker had so many quality problems with this model.
What kind of a wonderful gift, thank you Sal, thank you Spyderco!
The Herbst will always have a special place in my collection.

Spyderco is the best knife company in the world, I am proud to be a part of the community.

Marcus

Very cool! Looks like it belongs in Tron. Too bad there were issues, but kudos to Sal and :spyderco: on the design.

That is quite cool. Will there ever be a sprint with GITD designs on the handle? :p

The Herbst story continues, I've bought a japanese Herbst with the almite aluminium and VG-10.
A very nice addition to my Herbst family.
