I will buy any Para2 with upgraded steel. You can always change the scales out later.

I would absolutely purchase any red variant of the PM2. I would prefer a dark, more subdued red though.

Although, I must admit I'm somewhat bored of standard G-10 these days, regardless of the color. How about a different texture?, or an alternate material, like what's on the Gayle Bradley Air - Titanium / Glass Fiber with red maybe?

Actually it wasn't a knife cut, but I was using the Millie shortly after and
hadn't taken time to look for a bandaid. One of those "guy" things
that makes the wife just shake her head.

This idea has merit. DLC blade, stainless or titanium bolster, polished red G-10. More like a PM2 version of the Persian sprint. :D

I am down with any color red as long as it comes with M4 steel. They have to do a sprint in this steel someday, it is just to perfect of a combination.

They are NOT spyderco, and I am not supporting them. Just thought this might answer your question.

Yeah, John Grimsmo is making custom aluminum scales for the Para 2 now, I think there were some red scales available on his website.

You just have to be patient and keep yours eyes open.

It looks like KnivesShipFree has some, if you are willing to pay the price. I've bought from him before when he had some discontinued Spydies that I really wanted. Not quite at full suggested retail, but close :) . But he has the black-blade version, and even the brown S35VN (incorrectly listed as ParaMilitary not PM2) models in stock.
Which Knife, A or B? get Both! (and C, D and E) :)

I exchanged emails with John this week. He said a batch of titanium Para2 scales is next up on the block - Send him an email through his web site if you want to get "on the list".

I got his scales for the Manix 2 and the workmanship is outstanding.

Burgundy or auburn micarta or polished G10 will be interesting, no M4. Only stainless for me.
