50% Off Sale on 4Sevens Lights (yes it's real)

#1

Post by Blerv »

Hey everyone,

I'm sorry in advance if this is in violation of the rules. It's a shameless promotion of an online company selling flashlights due to the insane discount. I'm not affiliated in any way with them.

http://goinggear.com/clearance?manufacturer=37

4Sevens is switching their name to "Foursevens" because they want it to look dumber I guess ( :p ). That means these lights are considered old stock.

I just bought a Quark 123 for $32 and as Maelstrom S12 SST-90 for $74. Free shipping for orders over $49 too.

Just in case you need more shameless promotion: these guys are pretty fantastic, I've ordered from them multiple times in the past. (no affiliation)

Thanks for the link. I just placed an order.
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

Kudos bud :) . Yea I'm not one to normally jump on deals but 50% off on lights isn't like department store sales.

That's a pretty good deal. $30ish for a Quark is very nice.

Also, between the XP-E, XP-G and XML lights, I prefer the beam of the XP-G's.

I totally agree. In most cases for most folks the XP-G (and XP-G2) is a very nice middle ground between throw and flood.

Me too, I just picked up 3 that will make for some really nice Christmas gifts. Good call for sure.

I picked up a couple of lights, one that takes 2 x cr123's, and one that takes 2 x AA's. The first one is great, nice and bright. Unfortunately I think I'm going to have to contact 4Sevens on the second one, it seems to be limited to a "medium" or lower setting when trying to use the brightest setting -- it is considerably dimmer than a Fenix LD10 single AA light I have. Tried a different set of batteries too. Tried to follow the manual to "program" it to use the highest setting, that didn't work either.

I've heard good things from people who have had to use their warranty service, so I guess I'll have to contact them. I have been happy with the small 1 x 123 light I bought a year or so ago. I'm sure they'll take care of me.

Yea they have a great warranty and the president is a very good guy.

Did you try changing out the cells? Often times losing high mode is due to voltage and since AA's only push about 1.5v each (best case) it's quite possible one or both of the cells aren't up to par.

It's quite possible the light is funky. Just trying to help save you a hassle :) .

Yep, tried another set of batteries, and measured the voltage to be sure they were fresh (I *have* had new batteries that were flat before :) ). I'm just glad I got around to testing the flashlights, I got them a couple of weeks ago, real bad about buying stuff and having it sit there unused.

I think GoingGear owes Blerv a flashlight or two. I have a feeling a lot of inventory is off their books because of this thread.

Lol :) . You guys are the rabid shoppers ;)

It was a good deal on some nice lights and I usually look the other way at sales. Never shopped with Goinggear before and am a new fan.

But you told us and I'm sure we told as well. Me, I told two of my mechanic friends that also love a strong light. They each got one and probably told their coworkers I'd bet. Those guys all buy Streamlights off the tool truck and pay top dollar. Your find was a big help. I'll let you know though, I'm looking forward to it. Currently my strongest is in the mid 3's so something in the mid 6's should be a good time.
