My M4/Ti Military - not legal to carry out in public and it is such a beautiful (and valuable) piece of engineering that I hesitate to use it much. Mostly i just open it and close it and marvel at its beauty. I will get over this in time as I intend to keep and use it, but it's the only knife I've really been like this about (being more expensive, rare and valuable than any others I own is a big factor)

Pretty much all of my knives are this way. Once i find an EDC that fits the bill i tend to carry it for a long, long time. Usually everything new that i buy just sits pretty and gets fondled now and then. Sometimes i feel weird constantly ordering knives yet always carrying the same one. Maybe it's a sickness?

I seem to have a "User" pocket and a "Museum" pocket. The user pocket is usually filled with a Para2, Manix2 or Tuff, with the Techno lobbying hard to get some time logged. My museum pocket usually has a piece that I want to fondle or show off, but honestly won't see real use. If I am going to be on the range, I will have two users on me.
I have to admit that my Kris usually just gets admired though, then put away.

I love my Temp 2 but I haven't gotten a chance to use it. I also have my rock salt which never sees use, as it's in my B.O.B.

I'm fortunate to have accumulated many spydies over the past 13 years or so, so I'm sure there are quite a few models I haven't carried as often as the rest. But all get their turn when I come across them. ONe knife that I 'know' I don't carry as much as the rest is my dad's Centofante 3, he's not with us anymore so I only carry it on his birthday and the day he died.
What a great tradition and way for you to honor his memory.Mr Blonde wrote:I'm fortunate to have accumulated many spydies over the past 13 years or so, so I'm sure there are quite a few models I haven't carried as often as the rest. I bought 3X mule team S90V, two of those never breath outside of the plastic bag... still mint. Those two were for my twin son. They were 4 years old. They'll received their Mule Team for 18th birthdate. The 3rd one stay in the kitchen and me & my wife love to use it!
I ♥ blade, kite, motorcycle and _ _ X!
Spyderco Ocelot. Love the blade shape but don't want to get the paws in the handle all gummed up.
Civilian and Matriarch. Love the blade shape but has no practical use for me.

The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

Its funny my most expensive knife is the most carried, but all of my spyders have seen some pocket time, they work far too well to be left at home, the ones I never used got sold to buy others.
I perhaps don't carry my military as much as I like, it tends to scare people lol, and as blade master said my balisong is a favourite but rarely leaves the house due to legal reasons.
