Should I be concerned about PM2 detent when carrying IWB?

Granted the risk of the blade actually opening would be reduced if carried tip down, but I prefer tip up.

Does anyone carry a PM2 IWB without incidents or worries and how is the detent of the PM2 anyways?

I carry mine tip up and have not had any issues, though I have heard of some people having theirs open in pocket.

I hate getting stabbed with my own knife. The detent on my tip-up plain blade PM2 is very strong and I carry IWB occasionally. In fact, it's harder to inertia open than my FFG Endura and I never ever had any worries carrying a mid-lock IWB tip up. Now, I have handled a black bladed PM2 and the detent was not as positive, maybe the coating is in the little ball bearing hole.
Both my PM and PM2 have poked through my pockets, but that was when they were being carried tip down. When putting in my pocket, a little pocket material found its way into the tip of the closed blade and opened the blade.

Anything can happen. I had my old Para 2 open in my pocket carried tip down and stabbed myself in the hand.

I still get baffled looking at those pics. No idea how that happened. All i can figure is the last time i stuck it in my pocket, somehow it came open and snagged material going in or something. I got about a 1/4 inch deep and wide hole in the side of my palm.

What happened with my PM and PM2 was this... insert into pocket tip down without looking, pocket edge goes in between scales catching the tip of the blade and opening blade. Poked a hole in a pair of sweats with my PM and tru specs with my PM2. I bet that's what happened to you Evil D. With the tip of the blade actually open, you then reinserted into pocket (thinking you'd missed the pocket the first time) and the blade opened the rest of the way.

Whenever I carry IWB I usually use a holster for the folders. Even if it won't open, I'm still really paranoid about getting stabbed downstairs :P

tighten it so it doesnt swing freely. I found the perfect area so I can tip up carry it, jog, run etc without worrying it, but once the ziptie catches or the compression lock is pressed BOOM.

I have a great fear of the folder opening in my pocket. The only way i have found that keeps me happy is tip-up, towards the back of the pocket with the blade against the seam. To me this seems like the only true way it cannot open aside from a dedicated holster.

I've never had any knife (tip-up, tip-down, linerlock, compression lock etc..) open up when carrying IWB. So I wouldn't be too concerned. The detent on my CF S90V PM2 is very positive, and I've carried it IWB-tip-up with no problems.
