Not so happy with the bevel on the manix, but it was a half arsed effort- ill fix the convex to some extent and polish out more scratches some day.

Also , the bevel is about 11dps

well, Bd1 takes an absurdly sharp edge- its terrifying- im at HHT#4 with little effort- im gonna play with the edge retention with the 15 dps micro- at 18 it was pretty decent- it will hold up to a a week of light-medium cutting and restores in a flash - ill have a play around with it

My caly had an uneven primary grind from factory, resulting in a wavy edge, It didnt bother me until I decided I wanted a steeper back bevel last night

Image

Ok well this got on my nerves last night and i thought, " polish and live with it, or test my grinding skills on my exotic irreplaceable knife"

I thought to myself, " if I screw it up, ill get a pro to do it"

Freaking AWESOME! i LOVE my stonewash and it is THIN behind the edge , id tell you thickness but my vernier needs batteries

It is the hardest steel ive reground but it wasnt too bad. I definitely need new belts though (or a "good grinder") I left it at worn 80grit cause the patina it forms will hide most scratches

The stonewash was done with vinegar and stones, sick results IMO

Its finished to 0.3 microns at 13dps

Travis,

Your re-grind looks great and I like the look of the stone wash/patina with the gray G-10 scales.
