No Wharncliffe! Bummer. Maybe a reshape on the clip point or leaf blade might be in order then.

Pretty bummed about the lack of the Wharncliffe as well, to be honest. Looking forward to seeing the models that made the cut! A shallow belly leaf shape blade like the one on the Swick 2 would certainly be a super-nice consolation prize! :)

These just might get me with a 100% Spyderco EDC setup.

Very interesting and I look forward to seeing pictures when the time comes. Blade steel and styles sound very appealing.

Very good to hear. I'm very interested in all of them, but especially the clip point. The SE sheepsfoot sounds like a natural for having handy in a vehicle to compliment the Assist that's already there. They all sound like very good options for EDC where it's legal to do so.

I showed a few people the Swick 2 I was carrying over the weekend and they were all quite interested. Two didn't know that Spyderco made fixed blades, so I had the occasion to gush about the hidden treasures that come from Golden. These will compliment Swicks, Mules, Morans and StreetBeats quite nicely.

I was really looking forward to a Wharnie, hopefully the next Swick generation will surface eventually and I can snag one. Still may look at the Enuff if one of the shapes really speaks to me.

This will be an interesting project to observe. Good luck Spyderco!

Just curious, what type of sheath is proposed for these guys? I'd be happy with a nice nylon sheath over kydex.

Good stuff. I'll be up for a clip point if the handle fits my hand. Sure wish they were made from Super Blue, though ....

Thanx again Sal. I will return the favor with another question... Will the sheath be fitted with a G clip or just drilled for neck carry?

Hi Nick,

We'll fit the sheath with a "G" clip. I think the model might be abit large / heavy for a neck knife. The Enuff is being made in Seki with VG-10. The maker is excellent, the steel is excellent but the Yen is very strong. We'll be using FRN for both the scales and the sheath in an effort to keep the price as affordable as possible. There are many small fixed blades out there, but we feel there is a market for a small high quality stainless FB We're offering a variety of blade shapes to serve personal preferences.

Just as long as the scales are removable...then I can live with that....in a clip point or drop point.

I think of the leaf-shaped blade as "the Spyderco shape" as not too many non- :spyder: blades have them - hence it's an obvious choice. 3 options would be very cool. Reckon the sheepsfoot would be a fine rescue blade.

What really sets the leaf shape apart from a drop point? The only thing I can see is that you might claim that the aspect ratio is different, ie that the blade is wider and shorter than normal. Pretty subtle. I find that I use a needle sharp tip a lot on my knives. While I prefer the aesthetics of a drop point or leaf over a clip point, I often find the clip point more useful in action. And Wharncliffes just rock when it comes to EDC for me. I do have one drop point made in Seki, not a Spydie, that has a wonderful needle sharp tip, so I guess maybe my problem is less with blade shape than the tendency of many makers to beef up their tips to reduce warrantee costs.
