O/T--Whatcha' gettin' for Father's Day?

#1

Post by KBR »

I just got home from work and found a package waiting for me....my Father's Day present is here!!! (A little early, but oh well.)

What did I get??? A Buck 560 XLT... Titanium handles w/finger grooves(blade soon to be replaced with one in BG-42 w/One Armed Bandit added as well). Can't afford a Sebenza right now, so a "Buckbenza"(first pic) will have to do.

What are you getting this Father's Day?

KBR,
I expect a full review on that "Buckbenza". I have had my eye on one for a while. Happy Father's Day all.

A Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen. A 20 gig mp3 player for my Road King Classic. Mates up with my Rumble Road speaker system and now those rides to HOG rallys won't be so boring.

I envy you, Jeff. Someday, I'll get around to going to the Blade show. Have fun.

rorschach, will do on that review. Although it may be a little while before I send the Buck in to get worked on. BTW, I got a great deal on the 560($33.95 plus shipping) at the Distinctive Edge website. They sold out of this shipment but are expecting another by the end of next week, JFYI.

Father's Day? What is this? Here we only have Woman's Day (note, not Mother's Day but Woman's Day ), on the 8th of March.

The day started with breakfast in bed (a real treat, that one!).

I also got a watch...A Freestyle "Hammerhead" diving watch. Nice and rugged-looking, water resist. to 200M, with a very thick rubber band, just how I like 'em!

Hey, it wasn't a Ford Ranger, but..... :-)

I gave my dad a couple hundred bucks and spare parts for his Vespa scooter.. He hates knives.. But hey! It's father's day allright!! Wish there's something like 'Brother's Day' or 'Dude's Day' where your buddies can fork out some $$$ to get you your favourite sharp thing! *heh-heh!*

Well, I didn't get any Spydies, but I did get John Mayer's CD "Room For Squares", which is excellent.
