WTC Custom Presentation Box
When I received my World Trade Center knife it came with a note stating that there was a problem with the delivery of the wooden boxes. The box would (eventually) be shipped seperately.
Has this been worked out? When will they be shipping the boxes?
I would love to display my WTC on my desk at work, but the standard Spydie box just doesn't do this knife justice.

WTC boxes are shipping with knives as of last Friday.
Guess what was waiting for me when I got home from work today ?

It has put me in a bit of a dilema though.
I had just about decided to carry this knife, even if it was just as a car emergency knife, after all what better way to honour those that gave their lives in service than to use it as an emergency knife ?
Unfortunately everything about the knife is very well done, from the box, the knife, the letter that has a real Sal signiture on it and names the actual knife by number and even the packaging make this a very collectable piece.
Probably the best compromise might be to get a John D'Allara Rescue knife when they are released.
Walk softly, carry a big stick.

I agree. WHEN mine shows up, I've decided to carry it every September 11th only. For the rest of the time, I'll rotate a D'Allara with my SpyderHawk.

I received my WTC #404 yesterday before I went to Orientation for the Los Angeles City Fire Department... It could not have come at a better time! I know that there were problems with the boxes but I believe the wait was worth it. The box is solid, heavy and shows a great deal of time and effort in it's production. I will use the knife on duty for 9/11 as my tribute to those who died and the 343 NYFD members lost.
