I live near the ocean so I'm a big fan of H1. I own a Salt 1 SE, Ladybug Salt SE, Aqua Salt SE, and, recently snagged a Rock Salt (yesssssss!). I keep the Ladybug in my travel toiletry kit and carry the Salt 1 on every hike near the beach. Pretty soon I hope to add a Dragonfly Salt SE to the family. They're awesome knives in any environment.

I second your thought. The spyderhawk is the best and yours happens to be RED!

That is just one extremely cool piece of cutlery. I would dare to say that there isn't a dive knife on the market that even comes to rank as a close second to the Caspian Salt. In a survival situation you could have the Caspian Salt and the Warrior and really wouldn't need anything else

I own several SE Salt models, my favorite of which are the Tasman, Spyderhawk, and Dragonfly2. The Tasman in particular I've used for years and it's still never needed resharpening.

But my personal favorite, which is also probably my favorite Spyderco (and I own a LOT of Spydercos) is the PE Pacific Salt. I plan to get another, also PE, but this time in a black handle and torx construction.

The Pacific is my favorite salt, and perhaps my all around favorite EDC.

Since I lost my G-10 Harpy I've been carrying my SE yellow Spyderhawk a lot lately. For regular EDC it's just a bit bigger than I want for most everyday duties>> but let me tell you it's a beast when you need a Hawkbill for really tough cutting jobs that require a Spyderedged blade.

Not just because it's a Hawkbill but because it's one really well designed knife really made for hard work. I've really come to appreciate it as a work knife. Absolutely the SPYDERHAWK is my #1 pick of all the H-1 blades.

When Spyderco made the Spyderhawk in H-1 it truly re-invented the blade all together. I just wish they would bring it back with a G-10 handle. That truly would be the "cat's meow"

Well I just got my Pacific today, and cut some roses, and cut some boxes up. Its still very sharp. I am going to use to do some yardwork and cut boxes open at work. I want to see how the SE blade cuts and handles. If I like the performance I will probably end up with a couple more salt, hopefully one of those Spyderhawks.

I have an H-1 (USN) Catcherman on the way that was a trade. Looking forward to seeing what I think about it. After one solid week at the beach and no other knives being used other than my Spyderhawk and Dragonfly Salts I really think I am going to love the Catch!

My goto salts are my Spyderhawk, Tasman and Ladybug. The one I wish I could carry more is my Warrior. The two I still want are a ladybug hawk and Dragonfly salt. Sadly my Pacific doesnt see much pocket time anymore.

I only have one Salt. That's the Dragonfly2.

I am ever hopeful that Spyderco might come up with a Para2 type H1 blade. May not happen, still it's worth dreaming about.

I have had the Tasman PE and sold it and bought a Pacific SE. I like the Pacific for yard work but there was nothing wrong with the Tasman!
