Proud of my wife

#1

Post by Jazz »

It's a far cry from her thinking I'm a sicko because I like knives - she used to. My wife went kayaking with some other people while I worked yesterday. One gear snob-type-guy says something about his knife, and she says, "you don't have one this good", and unsheathed her Caspian Salt. He was, of course, impressed. So am I. :)

- best wishes, Jazz.

My wife is really big into playing softball. She was at a tournament last year that lasted all day, so naturally they were grilling out for lunch. Somebody brought chicken breast to grill and nobody had a knife with them, except my wife. She had her pink Delica with her ( for once) and saved the day. She told me all the guys were trying to buy it from her because it was so sharp. She uses it mostly around the house and I touch the edge up frequently from her using it as a wire cutter, etc.

Cool Jazz, I'm proud of your wife too :) . The Caspian is a truly unique and useful piece of work. Mine goes with me in my lunchbox everyday. It's really neat that the majority of it's cost went into the blade and tang. Definitely a model that means business :D

My wife is always threatening to grab one of my spyderco's out of the drawer and take it with her into the garden but never follows through, I wish she would. It would move her one step closer to feeling the same appreciation I do for a good knife. I am hoping she claims the pink squeak when it shows up.

Outstanding! Nice to hear your wife doing a "one-up-manship" on that guy.

Great story. :D I have had many occasions to observe the "gear snob" in his natural habitat... Nothing can ruin a good outing quicker!

Great story, it's always good to hear when the better halves can shut someone down.
