Hello all,

Is the automatic folding knife like a switchblade does it open up fast when you press the button?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Henrik,

Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

Automatics are the new name for spring loaded switchblades, as oppoosed to assisted openers and flippers which are not considered "switchblades". I believe that Boker does make an auto, but others would know more than I would. We usually don't discuss other brands on this forum. There is probably a Boker forum somewhere that you can search.

I think it's the model where the blade retracts automatically into the handles but opens manually:

Boker also makes several models that are available as both automatic and manual opening knives. The Kalashnikov and TopLock are two of them.
